Midwest Society for Women in  Philosophy

The Midwest Division of the  Society for Women in Philosophy is an 
interdisciplinary society with a  particular emphasis on troubling the 
discipline of philosophy and the  theory/practice dichotomy. The 
Society has a history of friendly engagement  at the intersection of 
race, class, gender, and sexuality. We invite papers  in all 
areas of feminist philosophy, from political theory and ethics to  
metaphysics and epistemology, panels, and performances engaging 
feminist  praxis and theorizing conceived broadly.

Travel  Grants: Midwest SWIP meets twice a year and subsidizes travel 
to meetings  (up to $75) for members who are students, unemployed or 
underemployed. Dues  are modest and on a sliding scale. You do not 
need to be a SWIP member to  participate in the conference or to 
request a travel grant. Requests for  travel grants should be
