since most of our members are spread apart, one only need to nominate
his/her self as a candidate for the national board.  elections will most
likely take place after the swap conference, which is 3-31 and 4-1.
nominations can take place between now and then.  i will keep record of
people who volunteer to be a member on the national board and when election
time rolls around, i will put together a list of people running against each
other before elections take place.  at this time, the candidate should
prepare an email explaining why he or she should be elected to the office.
other members will vote according to that information.  the national board
will consist of:
chair
treasurer
web master
swap membership
swap activity promotions
archivist
publications
