*Membership:*

It is January—the first month of a New Year, and time for membership
renewal. We are asking all members to renew their membership at
http://swapusa.org/?q=node/6 .  This will allow us to better track our
growing membership and to collect membership dues, which will be $5
annually.  Dues can be paid securely online through paypal and, as always,
we welcome donations.  The money collected through dues and donations will
go toward funding our Annual S.W.A.P. Conference for Topics of Diversity in
Philosophy.
S.W.A.P. National Board

S.W.A.P.'s main goal is to provide a support system and network for graduate
students interested in promoting the advancement of women, feminist issues,
and other marginalized topics/groups in academic philosophy.  In the
interest of furthering this goal, we would like to assemble a national board
that would incorporate members from a number of institutions to manage and
guide the organization as it continues to grow.  If you are interested in
taking on a leadership position as an officer on a national board, please
e-mail Shay Welch at shaywelch at gmail.com with the subject line "National
Board Nomination."  An announcement regarding  the deadline for nominations
as well as the procedure for the online election process will follow.
