CALL FOR PAPERS: 2nd Annual S.W.A.P. Conference for Topics of Diversity
in Philosophy
The Society for Women's Advancement in Philosophy is planning their
second annual conference, and we are seeking both (1) paper submissions
suitable for a 20 minute presentation, and (2) collaborative panel
proposals. We encourage submissions by graduate students on any branch
of philosophy applied to topics of race, sexuality, gender, and related
topics. Radical philosophy is welcome.

Conference Dates: March 31st & April 1st (2006)

Submission Guidelines:
Submission Deadline: February 13, 2006 Paper submissions:
Include complete paper and abstract (up to 150 words). All paper
submissions are blind-reviewed. No author-identifying information in
the text of the paper. Include author and contact information in the
text of e-mail or cover letter (for mailed submissions). Panel
proposals: Panel proposals should include a topic title, a 250 word
(maximum) abstract from each participant as well as a 250 word
(maximum) statement that explains the importance and relevance of the
panel. In a separate document include a list of confirmed participants
along with their affiliations. E-mail submissions or proposals:
Include submission as an attachment (.rtf, .doc, or .pdf file). Send

Important notes for graduate students interested in participating:
? There will be free local accommodations available for participants
interested in being hosted by SWAP members at Florida State University.
? A limited number of travel stipends may be available for qualified
participants.
? The registration fee for this conference is $10 for SWAP members
(this includes breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as local
transportation for conference participants and attendees) and $15 for
non-members (the membership dues for SWAP are $5 annually).
