we have been delivered some bad news; we did not get the grant for the
conference.  BUT NO FEAR!  we will survive, as the saying goes.  we'll just
have to do some more "begging" again this year.  i am sending this to remind
you all of some easy things you can do to help swap raise money for the
conference.  when you do your internet shopping through igive.com, a
percentage of your purchases is donated to us.  and if you use igive.com for
the first time, we get an additional $5 donation for each new igive
shopper.  while the small percentage does not seem like very much, it does
add up.  also, there is a donation button on the swap home page.  convincing
others to donate even $5 will help us to put on the best conference
possible.  although we have raised enough thus far to bring in speakers, we
like to provide rides and food for all the participants so they don't have
to spring for it themselves, so every little bit helps everyone out.  if
anyone has any fundraiser ideas, please let us know.  but please no bake
sale suggestions!  haha.  tina and i spent hours baking and promoting only
to accumulate $100 after 3 five hour selling sessions.
